Hello:
I´m sailing from Miami to Barbados in the Caribbean, and I´m having a fabulous time. I´m Sharing good moments with my friend Mark and his friends; I´m writing this e-mail on a laptop computer for you. It´s a beautiful day, the sun is shining, and dolphins are playing around the boat right now!
What is a typical day like at sea? Well, I get up at 7:00 a.m., and we have breakfast at 7:15 – We have coffee and toast. At 9:00 a.m., I take photos for three hours. At noon, I start cooking lunch, and we have lunch at 12:30. In the afternoon, we read and sunbathe. At 5:00 p.m., I write e-mails, and at 6:p.m., we listen to the news on the radio.
In this moment, I’m writing e-mails for my friends and parents, my brother Mark is sleeping and his friends are fishing for dinner. We are planning a party for tomorrow. At midnight I’m going to sleep!

Love,

Dear Ben:

I’m staying with my grandparents in San Francisco this summer. I´m having a fantastic time. My grandparents are living in the Marina District. From their house you can see “Alcatraz”. It´s an old prison on an island in the middle of San Francisco Bay. There is a famous bridge near their house. It´s the Golden Gate Bridge. It’s beautiful. It´s orange, and at night there are lots of lights on the bridge. Some people are living in houseboats near the Golden Gate Bridge. I think houseboats are a great idea. The Marina district is a very nice area of San Francisco. There is a very nice street. It´s a great place to look in the store windows. The clothes are so cool!
My grandparents take me to different places every day. I really like fisherman’s Wharf, You can see sea lions there. You can also buy CDs, hats, shoes, earrings, toys and lots of other things.
Golden Gate Park is a good place on a hot day, you can go horseback riding, biking or skating, You can also learn windsurfing or canoeing. The Exploratorium is my favorite museum. It’s a science museum for children, and it’s in the Marina District. You can learn about frogs, earthquakes, and even making candy. My favorite place to eat is the Hard Rock Café on Pier 39. They have fantastic hamburgers, milk shakes and ice cream. Sometimes you see famous people there. And there are guitars on the walls and photos of famous rock stars.
See you soon,
Cathy
